Econat® organic soil improver is a high-quality compost that meets the rigorous standards set out in the new European Fertiliser Regulation (EU) 2019/1009. Our product has been officially certified by Valoritalia, which confirms that it fully complies with European safety, traceability and environmental sustainability standards. It is produced exclusively from selected plant-based ligno-cellulosic materials derived from the maintenance of ornamental green spaces, such as parks and gardens. The fertiliser is produced by the natural decomposition of organic matter, which is transformed through a process of controlled bio-oxidation.

Production Process
The production of PFC3(A) Organic Soil Improver is carried out according to a rigorous protocol designed to maximise the efficiency of the biological transformation process. The received cuttings and prunings are carefully sorted and then undergo mechanical shredding and sieving to produce the fine fraction used in the production of the organic soil improver.
The base material is piled up in heaps in a designated area. Here, the heaps are periodically turned mechanically to supply the oxygen needed for spontaneous thermophilic fermentation, which is essential for sanitising the product. After a stabilisation and maturation period of at least 90 days, the material is finely sieved to refine it further. The result is a soil improver that is soft and loamy in texture, dark brown in colour, and has the characteristic scent of a forest floor, which indicates that it has been fully humified.
