Organic Soil
Amendment
Econat® Organic Soil Amendment is a high-quality compost certified by Valoritalia and compliant with the requirements of the new European Fertilising Products Regulation. It is produced exclusively from carefully selected lignocellulosic raw materials, such as residues from the maintenance of ornamental green areas, parks, and gardens. The fertilising product originates from the natural decomposition of organic matter, which is transformed through a bio-oxidation process.
Analytical Characteristics
The analytical data clearly demonstrate the quality of our soil amendment.
| Parametro | Limite |
|---|---|
| Dry Matter (%) | > 20% |
| Organic Carbon (% d.m.) | ≥ 7,5 |
| IPA16 (mg/kg) | < 6 |
| Macroscopic impurities larger than 2 mm (g/kg) | < 3 |
| Macroscopic impurities (g/kg) | < 2,5 |
| Oxygen Uptake Rate (OUR) (mmol O₂/kg d.m./h) | ≤ 25 |
Production Process
The selected grass clippings and pruning residues received at the facility undergo a shredding and screening process, from which the fine fraction is obtained and sent for further processing.
The composting process takes place in windrows arranged in a dedicated area, where they are periodically turned using mechanical equipment to promote oxidation and natural fermentation.
After a maturation period of approximately 90 days, the product is moved indoors pending the final refinement stage through screening. The resulting compost has the consistency of topsoil, a dark brown colour, and the characteristic woodland soil smell typical of products that have undergone the composting process.
Econat® Organic Soil Amendment enhances the value of lignocellulosic waste materials by transforming them into an environmentally sustainable product. It provides high-quality humified organic matter to the soil, contributes to improving the physical, chemical, and biological properties of the soil, promotes the development of beneficial microorganisms, and is suitable for a wide range of crops.
Currently, PFC3(A) Organic Soil Amendment is primarily intended for the production of organo-mineral fertilisers and manure-based fertilisers.
